Created to bring together golfers with all types of disabilities to compete in a single national open, Jason Faircloth and the United States Disabled Golf Association brought the 2022 event to Laurel Hill GC in Lorton, VA. Golfers from all over the country and a wide range of impairments competed this week for 54 holes over three days.
Along with Jason, a handful of competitors and the tournament coordinator joined the podcast to discuss the event, the challenges the competitors face on the golf course and the adaptive golf community as a whole. The perseverence, positivity and community on display at the U.S. Disabled Open is something every golfer should support and seek out to watch in-person when presented with the opportunity.
