With the highest population of any county in Virginia and the third highest median income in the country, Fairfax County has golfers galore. Its Park Authority provides and manages seven properties that run the gamut of municipal golf. A 36-hole property at Twin Lakes, two-executive nines at Pinecrest & Jefferson District, a pair of par 3 courses with the nine at Oak Marr & 18 out at Burke Lake, and two more full-length 18’s in Greendale and Laurel Hill, the latter of which is not only one of the premier municipal courses in the mid-atlantic, but also where Ryan Carmen has spent the last six years as General Manager before his recent promotion to director of Fairfax County’s golf division overseeing all seven.
