Looking to become the first golfer to represent Washington D.C. in the Special Olympics USA Games and perhaps beyond, Perez Plater is actively putting in the work necessary.  He and Coach Nat, his coach and a former Olympian himself, sat down for this podcast at Langston GC, their home course, to talk about Perez’ progress, his journey within the sport and what needs to be done to prepare for Orlando next Summer.  A DC native and local to the adjoining neighborhood, Perez has not only been helped by Langston staff and the community, but he is very much a part of it.

Nicole Preston, the CEO of Special Olympics DC, also joined to discuss the program and the process for Perez to compete in the USA Games and possibly the Special Olympics World Games.
