Flying under the radar while in the ear of some of golf’s top stars has been Julie Elion’s modus operandi for going on two decades. While most golf fans likely aren’t familiar with her, she is still very active in working with tour pros at the very top of the sport. With a resume that includes helping sports teams throughout the DC area, including the Wizards, Mystics, Commanders & Terps men’s basketball team, Julie has recently began working with the Howard University Golf team and taking a mental coach in residence role at Woodmont Country Club.
While keeping most of the names she works with quiet is part of the job description, Julie is able to share what so many of her clients have in common, how some of the same thought processes she works on with professional athletes can help the amateur player, and how ubiquitous mental coaches have become on tour.
