Not many caddies on the PGA Tour are as well known & well respected as Jim “Bones” Mackay. After 25 years working with Phil Mickelson, his perspective on the game reached new heights spending 4 years on the NBC/Golf Channel broadcast team, receiving seemingly universal approval for his contributions as a tournament commentator. This past fall he returned to the caddie life joining Justin Thomas full-time on his bag. Bones sat-down for the podcast while in town for an event at TPC Potomac as the build-up to the Wells Fargo Championship gets underway, which will take place here at Avenel Farm in May.
Tournament Director, Gary Sobba, joins the show as well to provide insight on a variety of topics related to the D.C. areas first PGA Tour stop since 2018. Gary has been at the helm of the Wells Fargo Championship for the past five years and gives a full-look at where things stand less than 10 weeks out from the event and what attendees can expect the week of the tournament.
