One of the best stories in DC-area sports the last few years has been not just the resurrection, but the play of the Howard University Golf team. Leading the way on the course has been Gregory Odom Jr who has won several events since transferring into the program from Memphis, and got the opportunity to compete in the Wells Fargo Championship at TPC Potomac in 2022. He joins the podcast to talk about his journey from Memphis to Howard, his relationship with Coach Sam Puryear, the success he’s had on the course, and what it’s like playing with the national attention of a superstar’s commitment to the program.
