During the late ’90’s boom of golf course construction, high-end public courses were beginning to open at a rapid pace. In Frederick County, Bob Sturges saw opportunity and was the first to open when in 1997, he purchased the piece of farmland that would become Worthington Manor Golf Club.
Twenty-three years later the family-run operation is going strong and is one of the premier courses in a county with a handful of great options. Bob is the first proprietor to join the show and we got to hear his perspective on running a golf club & the history of Worthington Manor.
