While it would be true to say that Billy Hurley III’s win on the PGA Tour put him on a very short list of winners at the highest level of golf from the capital region, that fact is hardly what makes that win & his career so unique.  Having served 5 years in active service after playing his college golf at the Naval Academy, Billy Hurley III was the first veteran of the US military to win on tour in over 20 years.

Hurley’s path in golf is a fascinating one and the circumstances around the Leesburg native’s victory at Congressional Country Club in 2016, made it one of the most special wins on tour in recent memory.

While Billy is working to regain his health and return to the tour, he has been very active with his BH3 Foundation & tournament supporting military families.
